I took her for granted
I didn't realize I did
Our friendship shattered
Because of one simple, I will.


You should have told me not to
But instead you told me yes
You should have told me the truth
But instead you told me a lie


Sometimes I regret it,
Sometimes I don't
We could have changed it,
But we couldn't get past the issue


I said we could get past it,
Some of us couldn't let go
We wanted the same thing,
But different out-comes


I tried it your way for while
I tried to help out when he broke it off
I tried to be there for you
I tried my hardest but you can't seem to get it,
I am only human I can only try so hard before I give up


I tried to get through
But you wouldn't let me in
I tried to help out
But you said I didn't understand


I woke up one day,
I thought it was over,
but you almost did the one thing,
i thought you wouldn't,
You told me to my face, end it


I would have believed you
when you told me you loved him
But after you did that,
now is a different story


You lied to him,
while together,
you lied to him,
even after the break up


You told me you were fine,
but lied to my face,
you told me that I could,
but turned around and told me that I couldn't


I'm sorry it turned out this way,
I wish I could make your pain go away,
I can't do the one thing that you want,
so I say goodbye, to a 'friend',
or so I thought
